Our History

Talent2 Education began its journey in a small office in Adelaide, South Australia as LJ Hooker Business Solutions, a company created to design and implement targeted training and development programs for LJ Hooker.

These innovative programs were highly successful and spread throughout Australia and across the Tasman to New Zealand.

 

Current MD John Wall quickly realised that the positive impact customised training had on real estate could be expanded into other industries. He focused on both growing the company's client base and acquiring a broad range of suitable training businesses.

Business Solutions officially became Sugar International in 2006 growing into a team of  passionate professionals, with offices in Sydney, Victoria and other major cities across Australasia.

After five years of strong organic growth in the real estate and financial services market, the business took on a group of investors and the Sugar Brand was created. This allowed Sugar to acquire suitable assets and grow them into leading providers in their independent markets.

Progress has been rapid. In 2007, Sugar acquired Performance Edge Systems, Champagne Consultants, Training Solutions Plus and Action People. In 2008 we added the J2S Group of Registered Training Organisations which included J2S Training Solutions, National Training, Australian College of Management, The QLD College of Business, 1 Training Solutions and J2S itself. In 2009, Sugar acquired the rights to Mission Australia Training Institute and, in partnership with Mission Australia, we continue to offer high quality training  to the community services sector. In July 2010, we acquired Source4, a Registered Training Organisation specialising in mining which has a proven Indigenous Employment model as part of its IP.

In early 2011, Sugar was purchased by Talent2 and now comes under the name Talent Education. We currently conduct over 1,000 training days each year while professionally and personally training more than 20,000 people each year. The launch of our Consulting Partner Network has allowed Sugar International to create effective partnerships with independent professional development experts, who understand our clients, industries and their unique challenges. Talent2 is the leading provider of vocational education in Australia. Along the way, we have won major contracts with over 25 of the top 100 companies and organisations in the country.

These acquisitions have enabled Talent2 to broaden its profile. We are now able to offer our clients extensive experience in corporate, soft skill and government initiatives towards accredited training.
